Ranked District 4 Football Teams

TNT Rankings

3A- 3. Union, 10. Camas

2A- 5. W.F West, 8. Mark Morris, 10. Black Hills, 15. R.A Long, 18. Tumwater

District 4 notes by Gregg.....

How good have the Longview teams been this year? Mark Morris and R.A. Long have had great seasons, but clearly, barring a total collapse, the District 4 championship is going through Chehalis. W.F. West has put together a great team in 2009. It is fun to have Tumwater and Black Hills in the mix so the district has more than significant respectability.

1A- 1. Montesano, 10. Onalaska, 11. Castle Rock, 13. La Center

District 4 notes by Gregg...

Can you believe that a certain poll has Montesano ranked 2nd? Perhaps Conell has played a tougher schedule, but I just can't imagine a team that is better than Monte right now.

Toledo's defense is the kind that can make a season. Now they face unbeaten and finally ranked (10th) Onalaska. Despite putting up 40 against Winlock, they have been struggling in most facets of the game. Toledo themselves, have been winning with minimual offensive output and stellar defense. Several teams have slowed Ritchey and the Loggers in recent weeks, but can the Indians score enough?

Rochester is turning into the team I thought they would be with their 35-7 thumping of a respectable Rainier team. It is too little, to late for the Warriors. Regardless, you have to like their chances against a small Winlock team.

Castle Rock has finally taken control of their own destiny and sets up a huge meeting with La Center on October 23rd. There are three teams in the Trico that fill the void between Montesano and the rest of District 4 1A teams.

2B- 4. Adna

District 4 notes by Gregg...

Adna is all alone in the world but out there lurking is Willapa Valley, South Bend and Napavine.

The notable wins this last week include Valley's over South Bend, but the fact that Napavine put the temporary kibosh on Wahkiakum's run was also significant. Just when you thought the Tigers were down, they strike again. Take out the loss at Goldendale and this season would be looking a lot like last, except Adna doesn't look like a team that is going to stumble down the stretch.
