District 4 Teams Ranked in the TNT Top 10

The newest Tacoma News-Tribune Prep rankings are out for week three!

At the 4A level, Southwest Washington does not have any teams ranked.

In the 3A competition, Union (2nd) and Camas (9th) are still proving their worth. Union defeated Evergeen 45-23 while Camas survived a scare from Battle Ground.

Southwest Washington was well represented at the 2A level last week, but an elimination match between Mark Morris and Centralia sent the Tigers into the "also ran" territory where they now join Tumwater. W.F. West had a big win over 4A Heritage and now is the top ranked team in District 4 and 8th in the state. They are followed by Mark Morris and R.A. Long who blanked larger Hudson's Bay 20-0.

What was billed as a dream match-up between two of Southwest Washington's best 1A teams turned into a laugher as Montesano holds court over the rest of the state. East of the Cascades there are many disbelivers and many are counting the days until a potential match-up between Royal and the Bulldogs. Castle Rock fell out of the Top 10 and Kalama did't help itself much with a nailbiting victory over 2A Washougal.

AT the 2B level, the machine that is Napavine is ranked 2nd while Naselle is 4th again. Only a loss or a meeting on the field will push any movement into this group.
